Head of ASAP academy: Univ. Prof. Dr. Mag. Martin Czejka

ASAP academy has been established for persons who need pharmacokinetic basic or advanced knowledge (e.g.: drug development, clinical studies, health organisations, pharmaceutical companies). The academy takes place in cooperation with national and international experts in the field of pharmacokinetics and comprises five modules:

Module 1:
preclinical and basic pharmacokinetics: Introduction in PK parameters, compartment and noncompartment models, metabolic processes, Michaelis Menten kinetics.

Module 2:
applied clinical pharmacokinetics: PK modelling for push, infusions, peroral and regional administration, scientific software, interpretation of data, single dose

Module 3:
advanced pharmacokinetic modelling and statistical interpretation of data. Multiple dose modelling, clearance concepts, metabolite kinetics, optimization of models.

Module 4:
planning and evaluation of pharmacokinetic parts of clinical studies, concepts for PK investigations, SOPs, validation, statistical aspects, sampling methods, bioavailability, bioequivalence.

Module 5:
special aspects: Therapeutic drug monitoring, dose adaption and individualization, drug-drug interactions, polymorphisms, population kinetics, scientific software used for pharmacokinatic calculations and simulations:
